Approximately 600 attendees took to the circuit throughout the day to take part in a range of car-focused experiences.
The Supercar Thrill and Star in a Car offering saw guests drive well known supercars around the track, meanwhile there were Monster Truck rides on offer, as well as Segway lessons.
Day spa Champneys activated at the event, providing services including massages and manicures for those who sought a break from the thrill-seeking activities.
Bill Alexander, chief executive of Red Letter Days, said: "The weather conditions really enhanced the day for all the drivers, it was the ultimate challenge in the wet. There was such a great atmosphere at SummerSpeed; everywhere you looked people were smiling and having fun.
"Since the company was bought by Theo Paphitis and Peter Jones ten years ago profits are at record levels which means we’re now in a position to launch events, such as SummerSpeed, and have even more fun and memorable days out with our customers. No-one in our industry has launched anything like SummerSpeed, it’s a very exciting first, and a first we’ll continue to pursue."
In June Red Letter Days announced that it would be launching the event after its customers demonstrated an interest in driving related experiences.
