More than 100 guests, including ISES members and event professionals, attended the event, which included a humorous speech from Kevin Jackson, vice president of sales and marketing at George P Johnson.

He spoke about what creativity meant to him, demonstrating the importance of creative thinking.

Jackson said: "It’s not what you say, it’s what you do. True creativity is something that no-one else can see. Man is defined by his actions, so are brands. If it’s real you feel it."

The night also showcased One Event’s new catering division, One Dining, providing canapés of glazed Welsh rarebit and young spinach on a toasted English muffin; Cornish fish pies, smoked haddock, parsley and Yorkshire fettle; and bowls of sautéed Scottish girolle mushrooms.

Other dishes on the menu included Sussex asparagus and broad beans, crunchy hen’s egg with tarragon hollandaise; grilled plaice fillets, sea pursoline, ratte potatoes; and a sweet of Valhrona chocolate and salt caramel pot, cinder toffee and hazelnuts.

ISES held a special prize draw for guests to win tickets to ISES Live in the Bahamas, which takes place in August, and was awarded to Robin Parker from Church House Conference Centre.

The evening, which was sponsored by Tourism Ireland, had an appropriate green glow, with lighting provided by Mushroom Lighting.

Xcel Events supplied its golf simulator so that guests could practice their drives on some of Ireland’s best known courses, and Drinking Classes and Whisky Mavericks provided special gin and whisky inhaling throughout the evening.

Celtic Crunch performed traditional Irish music, which contrasted with duelling pianists Party Pianos, and digital specialists Luma presented their yr wall.

Guest Stars’ photo booths provided ample opportunities for guests to take snapshots of themselves dressed in Irish-themed fancy dress, and Well Dressed Tables and Spaceworks supplied catering equipment and furniture along with Off to Work’s team of staff.
