The International Special Event Society UK chapter (ISES UK) held its first regional networking event of the 2014/15 season last night (1 September), at new Manchester venue Hallé St Peter's.

Targeting members attending Venue Expo at EventCity, Manchester, the ISES Connects event gave guests an exclusive look inside the Grade II-listed deconsecrated church, which is due to open on 11 September, following a multi-million pound refurbishment.

The event saw event professionals mingle with senior members of the ISES panel. Its newly elected president Kelly Baker was in attendance, ahead of hosting the association’s official AGM next Monday (8 September) at EGG, London.

Baker said: "We gave event professionals in the north a unique insight into this incredible venue, alongside a great evening of networking. Located in the centre of Manchester, it is sure to be a popular choice for organisers wanting to wow audiences with its dramatic architecture and atmospheric setting.

"ISES Connects Manchester is the first regional event of our calendar year and we have more planned throughout the lengths and breaths of the UK so all event professionals, no matter where they are based, can be fully engaged."
