In pictures: Iron Man takes to the streets with Sky Movies

Thomas DePetrillo, Marvel 'super-fan' and costume designer, arrived in London today (2 December) wearing Iron Man's Hulkbuster armour to promote Sky Movies' Christmas experience.

The replica Hulkbuster armour, which features in the latest Avengers film, measures 9.6 feet tall and six feet wide. It took Extreme Costumes designer DePetrillo 16,000 hours to create.

Dressed in the red uniform, the sci-fi fan embarked on a tour of London, taking in sights such the South Bank and Tower Bridge. He also headed to The O2, where Sky Movies’ Christmas experience is launching on 5 December.

The installation utilises augmented reality to bring to life the Battle for Avengers Tower and also includes a separate experience inspired by Disney’s latest Cinderella incarnation.

Agency TPF and Sky's in-house PR team collobated to stage the stunt.

DePetrillo said: "I'm incredibly excited to bring my costume to London to support the Sky Movies Christmas experience at The O2. Since it is the first time the suit has been to the city, I thought it would be great to get to know London and have been visiting some of the capital’s most famous spots.

"I’ll be Sky Studios at The O2 on 5 December and I can’t wait to meet the fans."
