Launching for the press last night (16 October), the play is entitled The Backstage Tour. The satirical performance aims to explore the contemporary world of show business, art and celebrity culture.
The hour-long experiential tour, directed by Simon Evans, also included a chicken shop dinner, champagne and cocktails. Guests were guided throughout the entire hotel, including its bedrooms and bathrooms.
The tour kicks off Hoxtown in Holborn, a series of monthly events designed to showcase local talent and business. Tomorrow (18 October) will see the opening of Great Londoners, a street photography exhibition by urban photographer Nicholas Gooden. A one-day event on 27 October will see author Kate Mosse perform a reading of her new novel.
Tonight’s tour is open to the public, with a ticket to the play also securing a night for two in the hotel.
