London's Bussey Building in Peckham welcomed 850 guests to Desperados' inaugural party event last Friday (17 October).

The Next Level event, billed as a party with a difference, involved a journey of discovery where partygoers worked together to unlock levels and discover prizes in the multi-storey, former munitions factory.

The party started on the lower floor and throughout the evening, levels were available to be unlocked, but it was up to the guests to work together to get this done. Hints, footage and clues of what might be the next level were hidden throughout the party.

Each level had different touchpoints and opportunities to engage. Partygoers were prompted with tasks to unlock levels and win prizes - from triggering an unlocking of the next floor through lights, to dancing on the stage found through a Narnia-style wardrobe room, to breaking through walls to reach the next level. The party elevated floor by floor over the evening.

During the night, guests were able to enjoy a line-up of music from Kurt Faulkner, Stanton Warriors, Freestylers, Prediath, Mike Skinner, P Money, LV featuring Joshua Idehen, DJs Stray and Murkage, Mumdance, Oxide & Neutrino, New York Transit Authority and Deadboy.

Suppliers to the event included Bussey Building, which provided security, bar and venue management, IFX for lighting and content, Scott Fleary who was in charge of scenic construction and Gallowglass which supplied production crew. The event was organised by agency Jack Morton Worldwide.

Richard Vincent, director of consumer and digital, EMEA, Jack Morton Worldwide told Event: "Desperados' ambition is to do something different, to create parties that twist convention and play with people’s expectations. We are delighted to have the opportunity to help Desperados engage with people through such unique experiences and are thrilled that the party at the Bussey Building in Peckham was such a success."

Desperados' Next Level event forms part of a wider music event series, which will involve other parties in Warsaw and Milan throughout October and November.
