In pictures: Claridge's unveils Dolce & Gabbana Christmas tree

London hotel Claridge's hosted a star-studded party on Wednesday night (19 November) to celebrate the unveiling of its designer Christmas tree.

Fashion designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana of Dolce & Gabbana fame created a bespoke tree for the hotel for the second year running. The festive party, which was organised in-house, was attended by a host of celebrities, including Kylie Minogue, Anna Kendrick, Erin O’Connor, Daisy Lowe and Douglas Booth, as well as both Dolce and Gabbana.

Guests enjoyed canapés created by Claridges’ executive chef Martyn Nail. These included a variety of sweets inspired by the latest Dolce & Gabbana ‘woodland’ collection such as D&G ‘owls’ with blackcurrent macaroons and ‘toadstools’ of marshmallow and meringue.

The eight-metre-high tree was inspired by the designers’ childhood memories and designed to bring a magical woodland to life in the heart of Mayfair.

Animated animals such as deer, rabbits and squirrels have been positioned under the tree, which has been adorned with more than 300 Italian glass baubles.
