Located on the ground at Schipol airport, the plane is available to book by competition entry on Airbnb’s website. Only three winners will be picked to stay at the pop-up, with the airline flying the lucky few to Holland for free.
Guests will get free rein of the 366sqm venue, which will include a play area, a master bedroom, seven bathrooms, a private cinema and two kitchens.
Even Heggernes, Airbnb’s country manager for the Netherlands, said: "Airbnb is all about offering unique travel experiences and the KLM plane fits that perfectly. KLM has really gone to town in creating the ultimate airplane listing. This will be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for any aeroplane enthusiast."
The experience is part of the hospitality brand’s 'Night At' series that sees it unlock unique destinations around the world for overnight stays. So far, these have included an IKEA store in Australia, the French Chateau Chenonceau, and a Waterstones bookstore in London.
