Photobition deal extends abilities

Photobition has extended its nationwide graphics production network with the pounds 2.1m acquisition of Colour Processing Laboratories (CPL).

Photobition has extended its nationwide graphics production network with the pounds 2.1m acquisition of Colour Processing Laboratories (CPL).

The buy brings the number of Photobition production sites in the UK to more than 20. CPL has branches in Nottingham, Birmingham, Southampton, Portsmouth, Reading, Brentwood, London and Edenbridge. It also takes the large-format graphics and exhibition stand specialist into new market areas, such as the manufacture of aluminium light boxes and new banner systems.

Photobition UK Graphics director Ben Moss said the group was now one step closer to its long-term objective of offering clients a one-stop-shop service.

'We are confident that CPL, which has a strong heritage and an excellent reputation, will contribute significantly to the quality and breadth of service we offer,' he added.

Meanwhile, Photobition UK Graphics and Photobition Display, which manufactures the Premier stand range, have moved into new headquarters in Gee Street in the City of London. The two divisions previously operated from separate London offices but according to Moss, recent acquisitions means the 'necessity for cross-fertilisation between the two divisions has become increasingly important'.

'The new super-office will allow the two divisions to work as a united front and cement their dedication in becoming global leaders,' Moss added.

The new site offers extensive conference facilities, training rooms and telemarketing.
