Peugeot has staged four summer party roadshows to promote its 307
model. The events were aimed at Peugeot customers and took place over
four weekends in July.
More than 15,000 people turned up to see pop bands including Hear'Say
and take part in activities including laser clay pigeon shooting, world
rally radio-controlled cars and free golf tips. The overall event was
managed by Professional Exhibitions (Pro-Ex) with the stage acts looked
after by Sledge.
"We wanted to give the Peugeot customers a really fun day, so by booking
some great bands we created a party atmosphere with something for
everyone to enjoy," said Sledge head of sponsorship Sarah Edwards.
Peugeot customers were invited to the event via dealers and were able to
test drive the 307. More than 2,500 visitors drove the car around a
20-minute route created by Pro-Ex.
Visitors also broke the world record for the largest "painting by
numbers" at the final event as they completed a two-and-a-half metre
high and 13 metre long visual of the 307.
