The big news this week was the annoucement that Slice's two managing directors, Tom Rutter and Alec Braun, are to leave the agency to set up their own experiential business. Dan Keene, client services director and partner, has been promoted to managing partner to run the business.
Creative agency Initials has bolstered its senior leadership team with the promotion of Rachel Bateman, director and head of live engagement, to the board. The move builds on Bateman’s promotion to the newly created role of head of live engagement in 2015, as part of the agency’s transformation of its experiential provision to live engagement.
Oksana Koval joined XYZ as commercial director with overall responsibility for marketing the agency and the new business function. Aaron Bilham was also hired as production director, replacing Peter Clayton, who will continue to work for the agency on a freelance basis.
Ear To The Ground
After five years at HSE Cake, as it's now known, Kat Renshaw moved to Manchester-based agency Ear To The Ground as business development director. The agency's roster of clients includes Adidas, Nike, Kellogg's and Uefa.
From October, MD and founder of brand experience and staffing agency Purity, Rob Quinn, will take up the role of CEO, focusing on the agency’s strategic vision and growth both in the UK and internationally. Client services director Mark Dunn will become managing partner, assuming day-to-day operational responsibility for the business.
Digital invention house Fat Unicorn appointed former Wasserman country director Dan Staples to the newly created role of agency director. The agency has won nine high profile accounts from brands recently including Barclays and Sky.
