Australian singer Kylie Minogue will switch on the London district’s Christmas Lights outside Pandora’s Marble Arch flagship store on Sunday (1 November).

Pandora is giving away two VIP tickets to the show and a £500 shopping experience as part of the sponsorship. The singer behind the brand’s Christmas campaign, Gabrielle Aplin, will also be performing live.

Peter Andersen, president of Pandora Western Europe, said: "We are absolutely delighted with the lineup for the Oxford Street Christmas lights switch on this year. As host sponsor for the event, Pandoas is a brand that celebrates women - and so to share the stage with a global superstar like Kylie Minogue, in addition to the UK's hottest talent, is truly exciting."

Aplin will be joined by artistes such as Foxes, Fleur East and Ben Haenow, as well as a member of the cast from Matilda The Musical. Capital presenters Dave Berry and Lisa Snowdon have been confirmed as hosts.

West Oxford Street, which is owned by New West End Company, will be closed to traffic from 2pm until 6.30pm on the day on the event. More than 40 high street stores will be hosting in-store events and on-street activity to support the switch on.

This year’s lights will include 445 new golden baubles shining between silver lights, and have been inspired by falling snowflakes. Also for the first time this year, the event will be broadcast via Periscope.

The audience will be invited to share their experiences on social media using the hashtag #OXSTmoments. These posts will be broadcast on large screens across Oxford Street.
