Land Rover has awarded P&MM its global event management contract for three years for an undisclosed sum following a five-way competitive pitch.

Land Rover has awarded P&MM its global event management contract for three years for an undisclosed sum following a five-way competitive pitch.

The contract kicked off last month with an employee roadshow and will feature a pan-European dealer conference in December plus logistics and travel for Land Rover’s flagship event, the G4 Land Rover Challenge in 2008.

The G4 Challenge is being managed by D3, which was also awarded its contract last month.

Land Rover global events and exhibitions manager Gary Knight said: “P&MM won its tender because of its ability to understand Land Rover’s business.

“Its pitch was built around flexibility and focused on a marketing differentiation.

“It is able to provide a robust and totally bespoke management system to suit all Land Rover events.

“The P&MM team are strong brand communicators and offer incredibly high standards through structures such as their unique Event Management System. We’re excited about our forthcoming event strategies and look forward to watching P&MM bring them to life.”

P&MM has worked with Land Rover since 1998, specialising in the brand’s event logistics. The agency’s travel and events division executive director, Nigel Cooper, added: “This was an extremely hard-fought pitch and to win is tremendous testimony to our work and the ability of the team.

“P&MM delivered an inspiring pitch that we felt matched our goals for future Land Rover promotional events. Having worked with them in the past we know that the level of professionalism that they bring to events is second to none.”
