The purpose-built property went into administration earlier this year, but continued to trade under the supervision of Grant Thornton Accountants, and managed by De Vere Venues.
It boasts 45 event spaces and 196 bedrooms, and is four miles from the centre of Swindon.
"The Liddington generated significant interest from a wide range of parties, with more than 12 offers received, seven of which were cash, at or around the asking price," said Simon Stevens, director at Christie + Co, the company that sold the property.
"This a further example that despite the current challenging conditions buyers are still interested in well-located, sensibly priced assets in the hotel sector."
PGL currently operates 18 centres in the UK, eight in France and one in Spain. The Liddington will become its latest when it opens as the PGL Liddington next year.
