The Open Championships 2009

The 138th Open Championship swings into action on 16 July 2009 and continues for four days. This is when the world's top golfers descend on Turnberry with dreams of winning the prestigious Claret Jug. Who do you think will be the last man standing on 19 July 2009; Tiger Woods, Sergio Garcia, Phil Mickelson or possibly a hat-trick for Padraig Harrington?

In 2008, over 200,000 spectators turned out at Royal Birkdale to see Padraig Harrington reclaim The Open Championship title with a magnificent four stroke victory over Ian Poulter. His win made him the first golfer to win in consecutive years since James Braid in 1906.

On 16 July, a bumper crowd will descend on Turnberry for The Open Championship 2009. Turnberry is arguably the most scenic course which has hosted The Open Championship and it returns after a 15 year absence. The first Open was held there in 1977 and since then, it has created various iconic memories. Turnberry has undergone a range of improvements to ensure the club and course is suitable for this historic tournament, including the creation of the hospitality village.

The Open Championship is a fantastic event at which to entertain clients; matching world-class golf with a fabulous day of hospitality. Unlike other events, you will have a full day to discuss business in the informal surroundings of Turnberry course. Keith Prowse is delighted to provide you with all your official hospitality needs, whether it be a table of 10 in the shared restaurant or private box for 30 or 50 guests.
