A wide variety of food-related activities, including a Ready, Steady, Cook-style challenge and appearances from celebrity chefs including Gino D’Acampo, Ainsley Harriott and Atul Kochhar, are being lined up to hopefully achieve the target of 25,000 visitors.
In addition there will be tasting areas courtesy of bars and eateries in Nottingham, as well as a special food and drink market featuring local suppliers in the Old Market Square.
The annual event is funded by bar and restaurant owners and produced by We Are Nottingham, the city’s Business Improvement District, representing all of the city centre’s licensed premises.
"We are a young festival, but I believe that as the event is entirely organised by the local restaurants and bars, we stay close to our core purpose of putting on entertainment that everyone will enjoy – and showcasing some great food and drink. We are hoping to attract thousands more visitors this year as we become an established event on the nation’s culinary calendar," said We Are Nottingham chief executive Sylvia Manser.
