The experience is taking place within a 40-foot shipping container, which has been transformed into an elf workshop. Customers are invited inside to enage with the brand and meet the makers who create the products. Guests will be able to witness the products being made and will also have the opportunity to pruchase bespoke items.

In addition, guests can have their photo taken inside a giant snow globe full of multi-coloured snow. The photo will be printed on-site as a memento of their visit.

The tour is already underway, and is visiting five UK locations - Edinburgh, London, Leeds, and Liverpool, with a final stop in Manchester this Friday (16 December). The Edinburgh event welcomed 3,000 guests, and live sales took place via iPads.

Hannah Webley-Smith, customer director of Not on the High Street, said: "We wanted to give customers the opportunity to get up-close and personal with products that they would normally only get to see online.  The touring Elf Workshop creates an open and inviting environment that we believe will entice visitors and get them excited for Christmas.  The Persuaders are the perfect creative agency to bring this concept to life."

In October, Not on the High Street created a Christmas-themed stand at Stylist Live. In May, the online retailer staged an 'Open Door' event, offering customers face-to-face retailing, workshops and demonstrations.
