Nickelodeon turns to Sledge for Spongebob campaign

Nickelodeon UK has brought in Sledge for an experiential roadshow to promote its channels using characters from Spongebob Squarepants and Dora The Explorer.

Both Spongebob and Nick Jnr character Dora are making personal appearances at set times, and have their own backdrop for photographs with children and a specific waiting area taking families through an "interactive journey".

"This is our second year of working with Nickelodeon following the successful ‘Jump Up' event last year," said commercial director Ian Irving.

The roadshow is running to the end of August.

"The children have loved meeting Dora and SpongeBob; it's a fantastic way for us to showcase our much-loved characters as part of our summer holiday activity, plus make shopping trips much more fun for both kids and their parents," added Nickelodeon UK events manger Gill Woods.
