The Event Supplier and Services Association (ESSA) is in the early stages of establishing a contractors’ register.
The Event Supplier and Services Association (ESSA) is in the early stages of establishing a contractors’ register. The proposed scheme, which is the subject of a feasibility study, would involve a central database, accessible by venues, that would hold information regarding individual staff and companies’ credentials. “The aim is for ESSA to take control of professionalism in the hall,” said ESSA director Chris Skeith. “The scheme will help to prove staff competencies and of course there are spin-off benefits for the venues, such as added security.” Funding for the initial stages has been secured.
