Manchester-based caterer Payal Catering has entered into a joint venture with Concerto Group company Touch of Taste.
The deal will see the Asian food specialist supply catering at some of the Concerto Group's most popular venues including The Garden Room in Syon Park, The Conservatory at Chelsea and Painshill Park.
"We want to be in a position to offer our non-Asian clients a refreshing alternative to European menus," said Concerto Group director Guy Rodger. "We asked Charlie Smith of At Your Service who was the best Asian caterer he had worked with and he recommended Payal. We met in October and clicked straight away."
Payal Catering MD Raj Somaiya was looking for an opportunity to capitalise on his success in the north. "This strategic alliance with Concerto couldn't have come at a better time", he said. "We will be sharing production facilities with Concerto and bringing our expertise down to their kitchens."
In addition to the Concerto Group's venues Payal is also listed at Blenheim Palace, Cliveden, Knowsley Hall, Tatton Park, Lancashire County Cricket Club, Capesthorne Pavilion, Harewood House Leeds and Liverpool Cathedral.
The news comes as another Concerto Group caterer, Create, announced it had been awarded a three-year contract to supply Salters' Hall.
