Jonathan Byrne returns to ISES board

The UK Chapter of the International Special Events Society (ISES) has appointed Jonathan Byrne as director-at-large.

Byrne has been an ISES member since it's foundation as a UK Chapter in 1997, previously serving on the board in 1998 and 1999.

His new role will see him facilitate regional expansion, introductions between members and to kick-start a planned ISES Connects programme.

Byrne left the Queen Elizabeth Conference Centre (QEIICC) in Westminster last September to become chief operating officer at the Royal Aeronautical Society. He has 30 years experience in the industry.

"I am delighted to welcome Jonathan back to the ISES UK Board in this new role," said ISES UK president Zanine Adams. "He will be a fantastic asset and with Jonathan onboard and with our forthcoming Meet the Market showcase just around the corner... this is already shaping up to be a great year to engage with ISES."
