NFL guests touchdown at Cabinet War Rooms with Visit London

While in London for the NFL Pepsi Max International Series games, Visit London took NFL guests out to visit The Churchill Museum and Cabinet War Rooms.

Present at the occassion was the commissioner and CFO of the NFL, co-owners of Tampa Bay Buccaneers and New England Patriots, sports minister Gerry Sutcliffe, director of Americas, FCO, John Rankin and representatives from VisitLondon.

The NFL was back in London for its third ‘sell-out' international game in London supported by Visit London's Events for London team who help support and deliver major sporting events into the capital.

Guests were treated to a glass of Churchill's favourite Champagne, Pol Roger, before being led to the Cabinet Room, Map Room and on to the Transatlantic Lobby to view the new display 'Undercover - Life in Churchill's bunker'.

"The Cabinet Room has been perfectly preserved since 1945 and the guests enjoyed experiencing the authentic atmosphere from where Churchill directed the war. The Map Room was also a great success; pins on the original maps mark the actual movement of convoys. We were all made to feel very welcome by Gerry McCartney, head of operations and the Sodexo Prestige team at the museum," said Visit London CEO Sally Chatterjee.
