The Events Industry Alliance (EIA), the Association of Event Organisers (AEO), Event Supplier and Services Association (ESSA) and the Association of Event Venues (AEV) have announced they will spend £80,000 promoting the event industry this year.
Speaking at International Confex, interim AEO director Austen Hawkins said that the new campaign is currently being developed and will launched in the next few months.
The war chest is designed to bring a postive focus on the industry at a time when economic factors are putting it under increasing strain.
Is £80,000 enough? What needs to be done?
