London Metropolitan University has partnered up with Seventeen Events to offer Events Management students the chance to organise fundraising events for children’s charity Barnardos.
Due to be held in Spring 2009, the best events will win cash prizes and successful teams will be offered up to £200 to cover event costs.
"The partnership with Seventeen Events gives students the opportunity to put academic theory into practice in a competitive environment," said London Met Events Management undergraduate degree course leader Tom Lunt.
Seventeen Events director Andrew Williams added: "We hope this competition will give valuable insight to event management students of the value of a sustainable approach. We're also delighted to be able to support the talent of the future."
