Boxer and 2008 Olympic gold medalist James DeGale successfully defended his European Super Middleweight Champion title against Hadillah Mohoumadi.

The fight was televised live on Channel 5 in the UK. It was preceded by eight other bouts, including Chris Eubank Jr winning his fight to continue his unbeaten run as a professional.

Mick Hennessy, of organiser Hennessy Sports, said Glow has a "bright future" for hosting further sporting events. "What a night and what a venue. The combination of the two halls worked perfectly, with the public enjoying the bar and catering facilities downstairs, before heading to the upper hall to watch the bouts.

"We will be back, and I am confident we will not be alone in bringing live sport to the South East at Glow."

Robert Goodman, Bluewater’s general manager, added: "Tonight’s event has underlined the flexibility and diversity of Glow. The atmosphere was electric and the feedback from the public, both directly on the night and via social media, has been incredibly positive. The boxing has been a great success, and we look forward to hosting more sports events in the future."
