The augmented reality character was powered using Grand Visual technology, which activated when a child stood on footprints in front of a huge 30sqm screen.

A camera then displayed real-time footage of the participant alongside a 3D animated Green Giant.

The sequence began with the Green Giant crouching down to measure the child before asking them to take One Giant Pledge to eat more vegetables. Those who took the pledge were rewarded with special celebratory content and had their photo taken with the giant, with the option to upload images to the Green Giant’s Facebook page.

Entertainment such as veggie jugglers and stilt walkers created a festive atmosphere, while celebrity mom Alison Sweeney and child nutritionist Melissa Halas-Liang were on hand to provide healthy eating tips and recipes.

The experiential activity led by Grand Visual was the culmination of an integrated campaign which kicked off on the Green Giant Facebook page.
