Adi also supplied broadcast services to the Great North Run, which started in Newcastle on the Tyne Bridge and saw a record 55,000 people run 13.1 miles.
Cameras from Adi were positioned at the start and finish lines of the race to stream footage to the big screens, including a wireless camera used for the first time. The camera operator used a cherry-picker to film footage of the runners filtering across the start line, broadcasting live to the watching crowds.
Adi also supplied its mobile LED screens and broadcast services to the Tyne Tunnel 2K Wheelchair Race on 14 September and the Great North City Games where double Olympic champion Mo Farah won the two-mile race on 15 September. On same day Adi also supplied the Bupa Junior and Mini Great North Run.
