The event brought together the best shuckers from England and Ireland to showcase their abilities.
Each contestant had 12 oysters to shuck, using only a knife to do so. The person who shucked their oysters first was the winner.
The celebrity round was hotly anticipated with Richard Corrigan, Jay Rayner and Mark Wogan taking part. Corrigan was able to shuck his way to victory, saying afterwards that he "must have shucked thousands of oysters in my lifetime".
In the non-celebrity competition Fillipo from Bentley’s Oyster Bar came second, followed closely by Christian from Corrigan’s.
