In pictures: SXS Events builds underwater catwalk for Next Top Model show

The event and filming took place in March within the vaulted tunnel space at London’s Vinopolis.
The mirrored catwalk was under two inches of water, which gave the impression of the models walking on water. SXS used specially sourced polycarbonate and sealants to create the transparent section of the catwalk to allow for filming underneath it.
The SXS team also created a bespoke rain curtain for the show, onto which holographic sponsor logos were projected.
More than 1,000 litres of water were used in circulation for the rain curtain and catwalk.
Johnny Palmer, head of special projects at SXS, said the company was initially contacted about providing the water screen. "After meeting the team we found that there were a range of aspects to the show we really wanted to get involved with, including an underwater catwalk and some seriously exciting production. This is this kind of work that inspired most of the SXS team to get into events in the first place."
