Picture gallery: Live Klimt-inspired art in Grosvenor Gardens
The art session was organised by the Vienna Tourist Board to celebrate the Viennese artist’s 150th birthday this year.
The artists included American contemporary illustrator Shepard Fairey who designed the Barack Obama 'Hope' poster for the 2008 US presidential election.
They created work on square canvases on nine raised 3m by 3m plinths, inspired by a giant Klimt painting which was on display for inspiration.
Alongside the live art, DJ DEF Mike played new electronic music from Vienna.
The works will be displayed in the Lazarides Gallery in Soho in the Klimt Illustrated exhibition from 24 August to 1 September between Tuesdays and Saturdays.
