BT River of Music was organised by music production company Serious and sponsored by BT. It saw six stages set up around the capital at Battersea Park, Old Royal Naval College, Trafalgar Square, Somerset House, London Pleasure Gardens and the Tower of London. 

500,000 free tickets were made available online for the six stages.

Jools Holland and his Rhythm and Blues Orchestra headlined one of the two Europe stages at Somerset House on Sunday, while Scissor Sisters appeared at the Tower of London on Saturday and Noisettes played at the Africa Stage at London Pleasure Gardens on Sunday.

As Event reported last week, the capacity for Africa Stage at London Pleasure Gardens was reduced from 25,000 to 17,000 after Bloc Weekend festival at the same venue was shut down due to overcrowding.

Tickets for the Europe and Americas stages sold out as well as tickets for Saturday at the Africa Stage.
