Gamel’s experience includes seven years at Google working across Europe, the Middle East and Asia as well as running her own marketing consultancy. She will be based in Eventbrite’s London office.
Her responsibilities will include broadening the reach of the company’s European marketing initiatives and developing new partnerships.
The company recently announced it has facilitated more than US$1 billion (£641m) in gross ticket sales worldwide.Kevin Hartz, chief executive and co-founder of Eventbrite, said: "Marion’s experience across Europe, the Middle East and Asia will be imperative to us as we continue to bring our offering to people around the world.
