The International Special Event Society (ISES) has appointed two corporate members from Shell and Ford to its Council of Advisors board.
Ford media and sponsorship manager Andrew Merryweather, and Shell head of creative media for corporate identity Danny van Otterdyk, have joined the ISES Council of Advisors.
The event association has also appointed a new director, Fran McIntyre, who will lead ISES's presence in Scotland. McIntyre is managing director of QD Events.
ISES president Richard Foulkes said: "As well as giving enormous insight to the board in the ongoing growth and development of the association, they will help us to better understand the education requirements of the in-house event planning teams across corporate and not-for-profit organisations, so that we can ensure the society is tailored to their needs and aspirations. They join current council members Kim Myhre, Sarah Wright, David Hornby, Duncan Reid, Dr Joe Blatt and Robert Wright."
