Regent's College will host the first Events Forum from Thursday 16 to Saturday 18 September in London.
Delegates at the event will have the opportunity to hear from key speakers in the events industry, covering a wide range of interesting themes including the organisation of memorable corporate events, destination marketing strategy and promotion, effective wedding planning, and the logistical challenges of co-ordinating a high-profile international sporting competition. The attendance of delegates from many countries, together with event suppliers and venues, offers high-quality networking opportunities for all.
On Thursday and Friday afternoon, Forum delegates will conduct site visits to a selection of London’s most popular event spaces, where members of the venue’s events team will give an exclusive talk on the use of the space and their unique marketing activities. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain tips on hosting memorable events and see behind the scenes of famous venues including Altitude 360 London, Craven Cottage, the London Eye, the Natural History Museum, St Paul’s Cathedral and Westfield Shopping Centre.
By attending the Forum, delegates will learn how to organise successful and memorable events, and adopt new innovative approaches to marketing events. Workshops on the organisation of distinctive charity events, the role and importance of professional associations, and how to be successful in events industry recruitment will all provide in-depth knowledge for future use.
As part of fundraising efforts in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support, the Forum will host a charity Gala Dinner in central London on the evening of Friday 17th September. Here, an auction of celebrity and sporting memorabilia will take place with items including signed Roger Federer tennis rackets, signed Tina Turner concert shoes, signed Chelsea and Fulham FC shirts, and the chance to entertain your friends in an Executive Box for 10 people at Fulham FC next season. A prize raffle will follow the auction to win prizes such as a week’s break to Malta with flights and 5 star accommodation, weekends at various 4 and 5 star UK hotels and resorts (including Celtic Manor, St David’s Hotel & Spa Cardiff, and Hillbark Hotel Cheshire), tickets to sporting events, and luxury Marks and Spencer hampers.
