The move comes a year after Showsec opened offices in Edinburgh.

Showsec's northern regional manager Alan Wallace will be responsible for the venue, with key support from senior operations executive Scott Anderson.

Additionally, Steve Dyker has been appointed as the Aberdeen area operations executive.

"We were aware of Showsec's reputation and our due diligence as part of this selection process has been extremely thorough to match their abilities with our needs," said AECC director of operations and safety Fiona Duguid.
