New awards ceremony launches for corporate event organisers

A committee of corporate event planners has joined forces with agencies Red Box Communications and Wolf & White to launch the first International Corporate Event (ICE) Awards in July 2015.

The inaugural ICE Awards, which will take place at The British Museum on 9 July 2015, will recognise in-house corporate event organisers across nine categories, including Best Product Launch Event, Best Sponsorship Activation Event, Best Customer Retention Event, Best Cultural Change Event and Best Market Engagement Event.

Hyundai’s event manager Kate Conway, AstraZeneca’s global events manager Joanna Lawlor and BP events manager Nancy John are among an eight-person steering committee for the awards.

The judging panel of 13 events professionals includes the SECC’s Samme Allen, Alexis Butler of Wolf & White, Maritz Travel’s Ben Goedegebuure, The Conference Doctor’s Paul Hussey, Mark Handforth of Compliant Venues and CWT’s Liz Quinton.
