Casa (translated as home) will incorporate 11 function rooms, catering for two to 280 guests, and a banqueting suite with space for 180.
There will also be 100 luxury bedrooms, a selection of Spanish-style bars and 176 free car parking spaces.
"This is such a significant development for Chesterfield and the wider Derbyshire region as Casa will provide a new multi-purpose venue for corporate, conference and the leisure market, bringing visitors in from around the country," said chairman of Bradbury Hall Developments Steve Perez.
The complex will create more than 500 jobs, providing a major boost to the local economy.
A formal ‘topping out' ceremony will take place in April when the highest part of the structure is complete.
