Campaign director of National Events Month Alistair Turner also took a photocall at the event with the chief executive of AEO, Chris Skeith, the chief operating officer of Imago Techmedia, Duncan Kirk, and director of exhibition sales at the SECC Dan Thurlow.
Taking place until today (9 October) at Excel, London, the show will host more than 300 exhibitors in the IT and cloud industries. It opened yesterday with a keynote session from Sir Tim Berners-Lee, the creator of the World Wide Web.
Other events highlighted during exhibitions and experiential week include The Showman’s Show at Newbury Showground, which is designed to showcase the outdoor event services and suppliers sector and expects an attendance of 4,500.
The first week of the campaign put the spotlight on conferences, congresses and large meetings, with the Liberal Democrats Party Conference at the SECC in Glasgow selected as the host event. Next week will see a focus on outdoor, cultural, sporting and music events at the Association of Independent Festival Organisers Congress in Cardiff, before finishing the month at the NFL’s London series with a focus on corporate hospitality and incentive travel.
Turner said: "We’re delighted to have these host events representing our four categories.
"We’ve got events taking place across the UK and in every sector of our industry, and the marketing campaign will reflect the quality and diversity of events that take place every day in Britain."
