Montgomery inks food deal for America

UK-based organiser Montgomery International has signed a joint-venture agreement with the Miami World Trade Centre to develop an existing exhibition and conference for the US food and drink market.

UK-based organiser Montgomery International has signed a joint-venture agreement with the Miami World Trade Centre to develop an existing exhibition and conference for the US food and drink market. The Americas Food & Beverage Show and Conference will rebrand to join Montgomery’s portfolio of worldwide IFE exhibitions that take place in London, New Delhi, Moscow, Warsaw and Budapest. A new Miami based company called the Americas Trade and Exhibition Company will stage the 2006 IFE Americas at the Miami Beach Convention Centre. “We will be bringing our international expertise and global IFE brand, to help develop the show to an even wider audience,” said Christopher Newton, chairman of Montgomery. The show aims to generate more than $8bn of new business.
