Weiner departs from digital agency Dare, where he devised content strategies for the likes of Barclays, BMW, Nike Football and Huawei.

He joins The Moment’s content strategy team under strategy director Sandra Peat, with a remit to create and execute creative programmes and solutions for the agency’s clients. These include Kenco, the BBC, Levi’s, Volkswagen and Hearst Magazines.

Weiner is a former journalist and editor who has previously worked for football titles FourFourTwo and Goal, as well as The Times and CNN.

Peat said: "I am delighted to have Matthew joining the company at such an exciting time. As a senior strategist, with a wealth of content and editorial experience, he will play a key role in building The Moment’s strategic approach to content marketing, as well as pioneering innovative integrated marketing solutions for our clients."

Weiner added: "I'm very excited to have joined The Moment. I believe that brands have the power to make a difference to people's lives and so was inspired by the Coffee vs Gangs series the content company created for Kenco.

"I want to help The Moment create more inspirational content and hopefully win a few awards along the way."

Following The Moment's rebrand from One Two Four in July the agency has hired a wave of new recruits, including Emmet Byrne as chief financial officer, and Will Glynn-Jones as director of experience.
