The show saw a 22% rise in visitors compared to August 2009, making it Moda's busiest August exhibition to date.

Organiser ITE will not reveal exact attendee numbers, but promotional information on the show's website says that it usually attracts more than 12,000 visitors each season.

In excess of 1,450 brands showcased their spring/summer 2011 collections across the five ‘show sectors’: Moda Lingerie and Swimwear, Moda Woman, Moda Menswear, Moda Footwear and Moda Accessories.

"The feedback from each of our show sectors this season has been excellent, and record attendance figures underline both the strength of the show itself and returning confidence within the industry," said ITE managing director Colette Tebbutt.

The next edition of Moda takes place at the NEC Birmingham from 20-22 February 2011.
