BT’s new mobile communications brand O2 was launched last month with a light show at the British Airways London Eye. LM Productions organised the event, which featured lasers, fireworks and a 360° projection tool called the StratoSphere. The Eye was lit up to become the ‘O’ part of the logo, while the ‘2’ was projected on to a 400sqm water screen. “This has been one of the biggest rebranding events of 2002 and we were proud to be a part of it,” LM Productions director Stephen Harvey said. O2 was formed by the merger of BT Cellnet, Genie and four European networks.
