A round table discussion attended by sectors of the exhibition
industry brought mixed views on the state of consumer shows.
The meeting, organised by Forte Communications and held in Shoreditch,
London, was attended by representatives from Hewlett-Packard, field
marketing agency Swing FM, design agency Work and contract furniture
It was chaired by Association of Exhibition Organisers (AEO) deputy
director Austen Hawkins.
One contributor said: 'A lot of the industry is still Mr Byrite and it
should really be French Connection'. Another added: 'Exhibitions need to
be at the cutting edge which is much more than organisers realise.'
