Maier joins from Grass Roots where he was client relationship and solutions director. Before that he was marketing director with Jack Morton and CEO of Crown Business Communications and Saatchi’s ICM. He has worked in the live event and communication industries for more than 20 years.
"Clients want an imaginative, clever and through-the-line agency that can deliver interesting, creative and measurable communication results, whether that be via an event, piece of design, film or a detailed strategic plan," said Maier. "MCM can do all of that, and that’s why I had no doubts about committing my future to them."
MCM chairman Neil Crespin said that Maier’s leadership role will be "pivotal" to the agency’s growth.
"More of our clients are now asking us to design communication strategies and not only to deliver traditional drop date diary events or other production-driven projects," he said.
