Mark McGauchrane joins as head of engagement, with a remit to promote the company's new direction by focusing on Mclcreate's creative side. Having previously worked freelance, McGauchrane arrives at Mclcreate with extensive experience in senior producer positions.
McGauchrane has delivered live events such as T in the Park, Edinburgh International Television Festival and Australian Music Festival ‘Big Day Out’.
Tim Spencer, managing director at Mclcreate, said: "We are delighted to have Mark back in the team to head up our new division. It has created a new opportunity not only for Scotland but the whole Mclcreate organisation. Clients based north of the border can cut out the middle man-style agency and take advantage of the expertise at Mclcreate to engage fully with their audiences."
Joining McGauchrane at Mclcreate will be Mike Donoghue, as senior business development manager. Donoghue brings 25 years of experience to the role, covering brand strategy, creative campaigns, digital technology and business development. Donoghue previously worked at Saatchi and Saatchi, Fresh and Story.
Spencer added: "The appointment of Mike to our business development team will help us to expand our operations in the competitive Scottish market. We also look forward to him bringing his integrated marketing approach to new and existing clients, further expanding our comprehensive offering."
On 10 November, it was announced that Rob Uphill will join agency ClinkClink as event director. Also last week, Fuse Sport and Entertainment announced the promotion of Lou Johnson to managing director.
