Lululemon Athletica to host yoga event

Canadian athletic apparel retailer Lululemon Athletica is hosting a yoga-themed event as part of the Africa Yoga Project, which aims to share yoga, create jobs and build communities.

Taking place tonight (11 October) at the Old Truman Brewery, Lululemon will welcome Paige Elenson, co-founder of Africa Yoga Project, to London, as part of an international documentary tour. Guests will be able to view a short film and then attened a 60-minute yoga class led by Elenson, followed with drinks, food and music.

All proceeds from the event are going to the Africa Yoga Project, a film pledging to raise money to support young people from all over Africa to participate in a yoga academy programme.

The sportswear brand hosted a silent disco yoga session in London last year, to launch its Unroll Europe tour. In August, sportswear retailer Sweaty Betty curated a one-day fitness festival
