Westwood will work alongside Emma Howe, sales and events director, to devise an annual event strategy and manage the consumer events calendar, which will include National Burger Day, Auction Against Hunger and Oktober Feast.
The appointment follows a year of building Street Feast's corporate events arm, with brands such as Google, Facebook, BuzzFeed and Sky choosing to host events at the agency's venues. Westwood has previously held the position of fair director at Ramsay Fairs, delivering a host of large scale events including the Affordable Art Fair, Pulse Art Fair and Grow London.
Westwood said: "I’m thrilled to be joining Street Feast at this exciting time of expansion. Having watched its growth with enthusiasm and admired their creativity from a far over recent years, it’s really inspiring to now be a part of the team and London Union’s development in 2017 and beyond."
Emma Howe, sales and events director, said: "The appointment of Romy is a demonstration of our commitment to making sure every encounter our guests have with Street Feast from corporate to consumer is excellent. She brings with her a wealth of experience in managing unique events."
The Street Feast model takes underused and neglected spaces in London and transforms them into street food spaces, hosting a line-up of street food traders and bars in each venue. In the spring of 2017, they will welcome a new venue in Canary Wharf onto the roster.
One of the agency's venues, Dinerama, was chosen to host the Event 100 Club 2017 party which took place in December last year. Last month, it was announced that ESI Media will launch London Food Month.
