Double Jab, a not for profit organisation aims to prevent crime by teaching children to box at its Forest Hill, south east London gym, the Double Jab Youth Club, which is where the event was held.
It hired agency Live Breathe Sleep to create a positive message through an experiential event that included world champion boxer Amir Khan visiting the gym to take part in a Q & A session with the press and event attendees.
Khan showed the crowd his WBA world championship belt and gave advice about boxing and discussed his experiences growing up.
Live Breath Sleep company director PJ Hunt added: "Leading up to the event Live Breathe Sleep brand ambassadors targeted local schools and community centers to create awareness in the Double Jab organisation.
"Lewisham council representatives who attended the event promoted the campaign and the positive message to the community. Local parents were encouraged to bring down their sons and daughters to the Double Jab gym and have a professional training session with some of Britain's most respected trainers."
Amir Khan said: "This is where champions come from. These kids are the future, and they have discipline. It's a totally different way of thinking and boxing kept me out of trouble."
