As part of the deal, Rob Tammaro, founder and director at the Brandsphere, has joined A Little Bird as head of strategy and planning and will work in tandem with creative director James-Lee Duffy. Based in London, he will initially work on the Bacardi and Wolverine accounts and report to Ed Wood, CEO and Tim Solano, managing partner.
The move broadens A Little Bird's capabilities in strategy and planning and is part of the agency’s plan to bolster its multi-platform, brand building credentials.
Ed Wood, chief executive at A Little Bird, said: "Our acquisition of The Brandsphere highlights our ambitious plans. The Brandsphere gained a market leadership reputation in its area and bringing Rob and his team’s firepower into A Little Bird is the first in a series of key investments that will allow us to grow and compete with the biggest agency names on some of the biggest, most demanding briefs. We’re committed to providing excellence for all our clients on multi-platform brand building initiatives and this acquisition is a significant step towards that."
Rob Tammaro added: "Joining a new agency is never an easy decision to make but A Little Bird and I share a vision and I sense that my team’s culture and skills align so perfectly with where A Little Bird is heading."
The Brandsphere clients included EY, Jumeirah International, Costa Coffee, Pret A Manger, Capita, Exterion Media and Kantar Media.
