The deal comes weeks after the London venue’s charitable foundation, the Wellcome Trust, inked a catering contract with Lime’s sister company Restaurant Associates, also for three years.
Restaurant Associates’ on-site team will provide a revamped catering service to over 700 Wellcome Trust employees in their staff restaurant and café. The catering company will also provide food and drink at the charity’s conferences, meetings and events.
Jo Austin, head of venue sales at Lime Venue Portfolio, said: "Wellcome Collection has been part of our portfolio since we launched in 2009 and has proved to be one of our most popular London venues. We are delighted we will continue to work with this venue for the next three years."
The Wellcome Collection is based on Euston Road and its event space backdrops are inspired by science and medicine. Among the artwork in the Medicine Now gallery is a 4 foot-high jelly baby and print of the entire human genome sequence.
Daniel Caleb, Wellcome Collection’s event spaces manager, said: "We are really excited about the year ahead. Not only have we had some major developments that will really enhance our offer to the market, but the decision to extend our contract with Restaurant Associates means we can continue to offer our delegates great food and continue to work with Lime Venue Portfolio to drive meetings and events business."
